Guestrooms at Ocean Hot Spring

The breakfast room was great, and breakfast itself had plenty of variety and was good, especially for anyone who can't eat all kinds of Chinese food. The rooms had nice balconies and very good amenities. There was no gym, though, and we had to use another hotel for both the pool and gym. I also missed having a safe and an iron. Like in most Chinese hotels, the air conditioning ran cold, so I froze at night. Still, I thought the hotel was great.

There's so much here: gardens, water features, amusement parks, hot springs, shops, and snack areas. It's a huge resort in mainland China, and you really have to visit to understand what a resort city is like.

My sister and I had a blast at Ocean Spring Resort in Zhuhai last weekend, staying for two days and one night. The package ticket was great value, covering several attractions, and we could keep enjoying the place even after checking out. With hot springs, sea views, an amusement park, cute animals, and a food market, there was plenty to do for adults and kids alike. It felt much better value than resorts that charge separately for each attraction. A free shuttle connects the different areas, which made getting around easy. We stayed at the 🌟Fan Hotel, where the sea view was right outside. The rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious, and had a distinctive terrace. Staff took our photo at check-in and registered our faces, so we could enter the hot springs and amusement park using facial recognition. If there's an event in the park, you can even watch the fireworks from the room. Outside, the hotel has a lovely infinity pool overlooking the sea. After swimming, we relaxed on the beach chairs and watched the sunset. Such a peaceful spot for photos. We went straight to Mysterious Island Amusement Park after leaving our luggage. It has rides for adults, including roller coasters, bumper cars, and vertical drops, plus gentler options like a carousel and a zero-gravity kingdom. At Caribbean Water World, the huge range of pools and photo spots made it a fun place to cool off in the summer. My husband and I loved the thrilling 70-meter rainbow slide. Ocean Hot Spring has 108 indoor and outdoor pools with different styles, temperatures, and supposed therapeutic qualities. The spring water is said to contain over 30 beneficial trace elements and minerals, which is why it's nicknamed "The First Spring of the South China Sea." The infinity pool there is a great place to catch the sunset over the mountains and sea. We didn't want to leave. At the Dwarf Petting Zoo, there were piglets and ducklings, and, unexpectedly, male escorts too. They were all so cute, and I was delighted to get close to them. There's direct bus service through China Travel Service, with boarding points in Mong Kok, Prince Edward, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Tsuen Wan.

I've been here many times for family holidays, and the park is large and lovely to explore with the kids. The beach is right behind the hotel, just outside the grounds, and it's their favorite spot. They also love the hot springs. There's lots to do, though the May Day holiday gets especially crowded with tourists. The rooms are spacious enough and the beds very comfortable, but after several visits I think the room carpet needs replacing. Most of the outlet shops have been closed each time I've come, and I don't know why. I was also amazed by the theater drama performance. I'd never seen anything like it before.
