Huayu Mingfu Hotel

I booked a room at Zhuhai Huayu Minfu Hotel on April 7 for April 18, but when I arrived, the hotel said there was no reservation under my name. I got there after 8 p.m. and spent about 45 minutes arguing with the staff. They were rude and tried to brush me off by sending us to another hotel. Ms. Liang insisted we had never booked by phone and blamed us for not remembering the exact date and time. I couldn't recall the date at first, but later checked my phone records and confirmed it was April 7. The staff had taken my booking call but apparently never registered it, leaving us without a room. The phone booking setup is unreliable. Calls from Hong Kong don't show a normal Hong Kong number on the mainland, just a strange string of digits, so I understand why they couldn't find the call. But the staff should have entered the reservation when they received it. Their work attitude was clearly a problem. They then arranged another hotel, claiming it was the same level and quality. At Huayu Spring Hotel, the outside already looked like a sexual services guesthouse. The room smelled strange, the air conditioning barely cooled, and I woke up hot all night. Cleanliness and staff attitude were both poor. The room was more expensive than our original group-buy price of 185 minus 17, or 168. They charged 200 per room, made us pay immediately, and told us to handle the group-buy refund ourselves the next day. Even basic supplies inside cost extra. If Zhuhai Huayu Minfu Hotel had handled my reservation properly, I wouldn't have had to stay in that awful place. What was meant to be a happy Macau and Zhuhai trip was spoiled by this hotel, and I'm extremely disappointed. I swear I won't stay at Zhuhai Huayu Minfu Hotel, Huayu Spring Hotel, or any Huayu Group hotel again. I sincerely hope Zhuhai Huayu Minfu Hotel reviews its booking system and improves its staff's attitude and work quality, so it doesn't let down the customers who have supported it.

The nightclub on the hotel's first floor kept the whole building pounding, and I couldn't sleep all night. I chose the place because it was cheap and regretted it badly. There are plenty of other inexpensive hotels nearby, so don't stay here.

The room looked lovely, though it was noisy.
