L Hotel Changsheng

They gave us the wrong room, then insisted we move right away. It made no sense to ask us to change after we'd already gone in, especially since the mistake was theirs. My child had just started showering when they told us to leave immediately. The service was awful and upsetting. I wouldn't stay here, even though it's close to the port.

Clean and new, and close to the underground shopping centre!

We found the room very clean, with the air conditioning already on when we arrived. The hot shower came quickly, the Wi-Fi was fairly fast, and the bed was comfortable. Check-in was quick, though they took a 300 RMB deposit that was refunded after checkout. The hotel is near the train station and the Macau customs crossing, with taxis easy to get outside and lots of nearby shops and eateries. Highly recommended.

There are plenty of shops just downstairs, with a supermarket and places for food, drinks, and shopping further inside. A small Lowson on the first floor is open 24 hours, and there's an exit to the mall via escalator. The border gate is very close. My executive room was spacious, with a bathtub, sofa, and a super-sized bed that was easy to sleep in. It had excellent natural light and a great view, though traffic noise from the first floor came through. The hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs. I liked the toothbrush too. Upstairs are a gym and free washer-dryer, with hand sanitizer and laundry detergent supplied. There's free bottled water in the elevator lobby. The main downside is that there are too few elevators, so waits can be long.
