The staff are friendly, and the location is great, just a few steps from GongBei Underground. The hotel is fine for a few nights, though the rooms need renovating. There’s sometimes a musty smell or tobacco smoke.
2/10
There’s no restaurant, so you have to go out for breakfast. The staff couldn’t speak English, which made things difficult, but they kindly helped me with a translator. My room on the sixth floor was a little better, though still not comfortable. The rooms, especially the ones tucked in the back corner on the first floor, had no windows, smelled bad, and were extremely unpleasant.
2/10
The floor was wet, and the mildew smell hit me as soon as I walked in. Staying there felt extremely unsafe to me, especially on the first floor.
6/10
The facilities are decent, and it’s about a ten-minute walk to the border. Restaurants and shopping areas are a bit far away, though.
6/10
Very cheap and nice hotel.
