Zhuhai Zhumengzhe Capsule Hotel Yuehua Road

It’s got what you need for a comfortable night, though the setup is basic. Sleeping in a capsule is something you should try at least once in your life.

Clean and tidy, and a fun change from the usual hostel experience. The only downside was that, for some reason, there were a few mosquitos in the capsule 😬

I did see a cute cat in the morning, but the location wasn’t great, quite a way from Gongbei. The cabin was clean, though its TV didn’t work, and the room’s ceiling light was broken too. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly and was dirty. People in Zhuhai seem used to smoking indoors, and smoke would drift into the cabin.

The mattress was clean and comfortable, and the capsule was cheap. It has lights, a TV, headphones, two USB outlets, regular power outlets, and a vent, though it isn’t especially soundproof. The lockers all use card locks. To reach your capsule, you walk through a corridor with a Star Wars-like feel, almost like heading to a secret base. I’d stay again if I’m in Zhuhai. I think the correct location may be on another road to the northwest, though I could be wrong. It’s marked in red in the attached photo. I got lost and had to look around quite a bit, so be careful.
