The spa was the letdown for me. The staff didn't seem very professional, and I left disappointed instead of relaxed. Maybe I had the wrong idea about what was offered, or expected more from the relaxation and massage, but there also seemed to be some hesitation from the staff in providing the service. That made the atmosphere feel less welcoming. As a foreign guest, I might have misunderstood the offerings, but when you pay for a dedicated service, I think there should be a certain level of care and attention. Everything else was very nice. The service in general was excellent, the room was impressive and had a beautiful view, and it was clean. The bed was very comfortable, the amenities were complete, and I appreciated the fitness facilities.

The Google Maps location is wrong. Look up Midea Marriott Hotel, around 700 m southwest of the pin. The hotel itself is nice, but during the heating period the room got far too warm and apparently couldn't be adjusted. Breakfast was okay, though I've had better at similar hotels.

I spent two weeks at the ZhuZhou Marriott and found it a great place to stay in Zhuzhou. The rooms are a good size, the beds and pillows are comfortable, and the staff are friendly and speak English. The restaurant does an international breakfast, and the omelettes are quite good. Laundry was a little expensive, though everything came back clean and in good shape. There are both international and domestic guests, and the hotel has a mix of offerings. If you're planning a stay in Zhuzhou, I'd book here, I think you'd be pleased.
