Hotel Doña Triny

It was midnight on a Monday, not a holiday, and a huge two-story speaker system was blasting about a block away. It was loud enough to hear for miles, and we were right beside it. The staff said the bar had a permit and nothing could be done. I don’t understand why this is allowed. The power was out, so the fans didn’t work, but the speakers kept going even while the rest of town was completely dark. I wished I could get on a boat and leave right then.

Doña Triny and Arturo were so kind, and I really liked that. Sapzurro is an amazing, peaceful little town, quieter than Capurgana, closer to Panama, and a great place for hiking.

A real shame. We had to stay here as part of a trip, and a young staff member stole our money before later giving it back. I also got food poisoning from a dinner here. I’d really recommend not staying.

We spent one night here, but I’d suggest staying somewhere else. My bed had mould growing on it, and the manager was very rude.
