Casa Real Barichara

We had a lovely, spacious room at this beautiful boutique hotel in stunning Barichara, and the place is well maintained. The pool area was just right for a relaxing afternoon. Still, the staff seemed somewhat cold and distant, which took away a little from the experience.

Our stay was cut short, and things were a bit chaotic, but the staff handled everything perfectly from check-in through check-out. We were in Barichara for a wedding, and although our Spanish was broken, everyone made a real effort to keep us comfortable, relaxed, and taken care of. Mornings with breakfast and time by the pool both felt magical. We couldn’t be happier with our choice.

We had no complaints, and the staff showed real care for us. When we needed to change our plans and leave earlier, the hotel was very accommodating. The suite has an excellent view from its spot at the top of town. It’s a perfect place to relax and disconnect, and we’ll definitely return.

From the hotel, the town square is a short walk, and there’s good parking. It sits high in Barichara, with lovely views across the mountains and farms. A small park and trail nearby made for a great morning walk with an amazing vista. There’s no air conditioning in the rooms, though I think that’s common in Barichara. To ring the front desk, use the buzzer just left of the entrance. The service was exceptional, and the rooms were clean and very romantic. I looked at several hotels during my time in Barichara, and this was my favorite by far.
