The hotel is beautiful, and everyone is really nice. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to anyone vacationing in Barranquilla, Colombia. I love this place!

After I booked through an aggregator, they pushed quite aggressively for a bank transfer to “secure the booking.” That struck me as fishy, since the aggregator had already secured it through my credit card. It felt very much like a scam to me, and business contacts in the hotel industry felt the same way. Their rude emails also gave me little confidence that the service at the property would be attentive or kind.

At check-in, the room we had booked on booking.com wasn’t available. They put us in a room without enough beds for everyone, then refused any kind of refund on the grounds that we had technically still received a room.

The staff were friendly and ready to help, and they even let us check in at 9 in the morning. The rooms, though, were dated, the bed fairly small, and the bathroom tiny and very old. We stayed for Carnaval and paid quite a lot, so I expected more for the price. I’d stay here again for Carnaval, but not for a regular visit at that rate.

The area is quiet and green, and the location is good. Our room was clean and spacious, but had no windows. The hotel itself is a bit old, though the staff were super friendly.
