Camatajua Baru House

We booked a room for a couple of nights to unwind and ended up staying at the property all day instead of heading to Playa Blanca. It was private and beautiful, with well-kept grounds. The staff live on site, were easy to reach, and tried to help while still giving us room to relax. The rooms were decent, though one had a bad A/C so we switched. The WiFi was unreliable, which caused work problems since my cell service didn’t work there, and the TVs didn’t work either. Bathroom taps and shower heads could use an update. Food choices are limited, so after three days you’d run out of options, but the patacones were outstanding and I had them every meal. The salad portion was tiny, though the dressing was tasty. Shrimp was delicious, while the beef and chicken were so-so. I was pleased with the stay and would come back.
