Avani Royal Zona T Bogotá Hotel

The staff were amazing, and the area has some really good restaurants and places to shop. That’s about all I enjoyed, though. It was my first time in Bogota, and the city itself isn’t for me. The room felt dated and needed serious updating. The furniture was old, the bathroom was awkward to use, and there weren’t any outlets by the bed, which was strange. Breakfast was basic for a hotel rated 4 stars. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want an upscale, nice hotel.

Our early checkout was made so much easier by the breakfast box they prepared for our family. We travel for a living, and that kind of customer service really blew me away. The employees were well dressed, the rooms spacious and clean, and there’s a restaurant on site. The location is perfect, across from the mall and main streets lined with restaurants. There’s a play place for kids in the mall. This IS the place to stay in Bogotá!

The location is great, and the breakfast and service were good. That’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars. We booked a junior suite, supposedly their largest room, because we wanted space for our child. The room we got was nothing like the one on the website, and not what we’d paid for. We chose this hotel for both the location and the room. We paid for 4 nights but are staying only 3. Since we arrived a day later, I honestly felt our room had been given away. They offered another room, but it still wasn’t what we booked. I can only share what happened, and this hotel is going on our do not return list. If you’re considering the “junior suite,” you might as well book a standard room and save the money, or stay at a well known hotel.

The location made it easy to walk around for food and catch some live music. I stayed for four days, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.
