Rude customer service, and they handled the situation terribly. My husband got several bites in the room, but the staff insisted we’d brought bugs with us. At 11pm, all they offered was to change the sheets. The rest of the staff were rude too. They advertise a rooftop terrace, which you can even see on the lobby camera screen, but when we asked, staff told us they didn’t have one. They were rude and racist toward English-speaking customers. AVOID THIS PLACE.

We stayed for 15 days, and everyone from the manager and desk attendants to the breakfast and cleaning staff made us feel at home. They even washed my baby’s bottles every day and were always checking how we were doing. The rooms were neat and clean, the beds were really comfortable, and I loved the three breakfast options. I went in March 2019 with my 12-month-old, my mom, my sister, and my brother-in-law. The six-hour direct flight from Texas to Bogota with a baby was exhausting, so that warm cup of coffee waiting when we arrived was lovely. I think this should be considered one of the best places to stay in Bogota for families with kids. Thank you all so much. We’ll definitely be back.

The room was clean and a little small, but that didn’t bother me. It’s an okay place if you need to stay near the Embassy. The front desk had a really hard time with basic things like finding us a taxi. It happened several times during our two days there, but nowhere else on our trip that week. It wasn’t a terrible experience, though I’d probably look at other options if I needed that area again.

After eight nights at Bog Urban in Bogota, I wanted to share that we had a really great stay. The room setup worked well for our family of four, with a king bed for my husband and me and two full beds for our young boys. The beds were super comfortable, and we all slept well. As a spoiled American, I needed a little time to adjust to the room size, but if you’re out all day, you get used to it quickly. The front desk ladies were super friendly and helpful, and the cleaning staff were great. Breakfast was included, simple but good and suited us. We’d grab something quick and head out for the day. The area is mostly residential and not especially vibrant, but it felt nice and super safe. It’s a short drive to everywhere, including the airport, and the city’s attractions are spread out anyway. I loved La Candelaria, but I’m glad we didn’t stay there and wouldn’t recommend it as a base, just visit for a day or two. We got back today, and I seriously never write reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience. You can’t go wrong with bog!
