Casa Dreamer Bogota was such a great place to stay. I arrived to a really warm welcome from Angelica at the front desk, and the whole staff were friendly and hospitable. My room was clean and comfortable, with a clean bathroom and a hot shower. The sauna was a nice extra, and the location worked perfectly for me. Muchas Gracias!

It has the feel of a cabin tucked away somewhere quiet, even though it’s right in the city. The rooftop terrace gives you a view over part of town, and there’s a sauna, a fireplace, cozy places to lounge, comfortable beds, hot showers, and breakfast available on-site for a fee. It’s a really nice place to stay, with room to improve. The biggest problem was being without internet for days. For a traveler, that’s brutal, and internet is a basic need. They should invest in a hotspot or something to prevent that. The key cards were also acting strangely. The floors creak, and the building isn’t soundproof, so you can hear people being intimate or getting up in the morning.

For my first stop in Colombia, this was a great hostel: quiet enough to settle in, with comfortable beds, good food and service, and a relaxed social feel. There are lots of shared spaces to hang out in, everything is clean, and the staff are especially kind. I felt fine about security, though you do need to be a little careful at night since it’s centrally located. I met a few cool people and had a great night out. A couple of rooms are a bit stuffy, but that was my only real downside. Thanks to the whole team for a great stay!

It’s a good location, and the hotel looks nice, with comfortable beds and pleasant common areas. But the organization is really poor, and there seem to be staffing, management, and maintenance problems. The toilet in my room wouldn’t flush, so I had to use a bucket each time. Towels weren’t provided in my private room by default. When I asked, there weren’t any clean ones available, and I waited two hours to get one. The window needs fixing too. They didn’t apologize or say anything about it, which felt weird.

Once you step through the historic entrance off the busy street, it feels like you’ve left the city behind. Casa Dreamer sits right at the entrance to La Candelaria, and of the Dreamer collection, it’s the standout. The service is superb, the architecture is breathtaking, and the woodwork is beautiful. There’s also what felt like the best coffee in town, all with the atmosphere of a country lodge. The open atrium lounge, welcoming lobby, bar, and rustic roof deck each have their own thoughtful design. A peaceful, refined hostel, and a lovely new home in Bogota for a traveler.
