Casa Hotel Boyaca Real

During our ten night stay, the upgraded room's ceiling leaked on the first two nights. When we asked to move because of it, nobody even apologized. We were put back in a standard room with no window, and at first they said we'd get money back for being downgraded. Days passed, and we still haven't received that refund. The standard room we originally booked was advertised on booking as having a window, but the room we got was tiny and windowless. We paid the hotel directly to upgrade for a window and a little more space. The staff were horrible to deal with, the towels disgusting, the pillows paper thin, and every room noisy. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Breakfast is included, with several good choices, though I'm not sure whether they have vegetarian options. The hotel itself is small, clean, cozy, quiet, and comfortable, and the service was very good. I don't know if pets are allowed, and given how small and peaceful the place is, I probably wouldn't suggest bringing one.

Breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh-squeezed orange juice and the best hot chocolate we've had in Colombia. The hotel has been beautifully redone in a modern style, and the beds are comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water. The bathroom is small, but that didn't matter to me. The online photos were accurate too.

Other guests could sometimes be heard loudly in the room, so it's not ideal if you're trying to rest. Still, the staff were very kind and the service was exceptional. The rooms were nice and clean, and breakfast was delicious.
