Destino Nomada

The owners made a point of introducing me to the neighborhood, the city and the country, and seemed to really enjoy doing it. The hostel is a short walk from many of La Candelaria’s interesting sights, with easy access to much of the rest of the city, yet it’s in a quiet, calm neighborhood. Some rooms have lovely city views, which were especially nice for watching the New Year’s Eve fireworks. It was my first stop in Colombia and a great place to start exploring. The lodging was clean, comfortable and cheerful. Years after my visit, I still think of the place fondly and would gladly return when I’m next in Bogota.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and reception had all the information I needed. They also offer free towels and taxi service on request. It’s a well-located hostel with clean, comfortable rooms and a nice breakfast. The facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, common room, TV and hot water.

It was low season, so the hostel was quite empty and I can’t really comment on the atmosphere. It did feel cozy, though, and the place was clean with comfortable beds. The staff were kind and very helpful. Breakfast was simple but good, with a choice of cereal or eggs and toast.

A convenient location and a cozy, warm place to hang out and meet other tourists. They offer activities, but it’s not a party hostel. The staff were dedicated and helpful, breakfast was good, and the place felt clean and secure. I’d go back!
