Hotel Central Park

I wasn’t even booked here. The owners had oversold the other hotel and decided to put me in this one. It was okay for a night, but not very clean. Just bad.

Breakfasts were more than perfect, complete and well balanced. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the area felt very safe, with all kinds of shops nearby. We loved how central the location is, just as the name suggests, and the train station is only a few blocks away. The room booked through Booking.com wasn’t the same as the one they had reserved, so they need to sort that out with the app to prevent this happening again. Also, noisy guests could be asked to keep their voices down in the common areas.

It worked out well for my work stay, with several places of interest close by. The room was clean, the TV was good, the bathroom was clean, and the bed was really comfortable with plenty of pillows. They didn’t follow through on their promise to pick me up at the airport, though they apologized.

The poor service from the owner, Mr. Guillermo, is why I’m giving this two stars, not because of the staff. He lacks tolerance and doesn’t seem to know where his own hotel is. It’s outrageous that he couldn’t explain how to get there by car. There’s a TransMilenio bus rapid transit system close to the hotel, and he didn’t know how to get there either. It’s sad.
