Hotel Dios

William, Lady, and the rest of the staff were so hospitable. I absolutely loved Hotel Dios. There's a restaurant in the front area during the day, and they keep a wood fire going in the courtyard. It makes the courtyard smell wonderful, cozy rather than smoky. Highly recommend!

This was the worst hotel stay I've ever had, in Bogotá and anywhere else. We arrived Saturday and were due to leave Monday morning. On Saturday night we were locked inside with no way out. They'd given us an exit code on a piece of paper, which I lost, but it's completely inappropriate for a four-star hotel to have no way to contact anyone. What if there had been an emergency? I made several calls overnight through Booking and again in the morning through the staff, and finally reached the manager on Sunday. She apologized and said there had been a problem with the night audit, which meant nobody was there. In my opinion, that's no excuse. She offered to comp both nights, and I accepted. After going for a walk in Bogotá on Sunday, I found that our room still hadn't been cleaned, and there was still no staff at the hotel. On checkout day, no one was serving breakfast and there was no staff around. I think they treated us with extreme disrespect. This is unacceptable, and there's no excuse for it. I also emailed the hotel directly a week ago about the unclean room and missing breakfast, and got no reply. That didn't surprise me much. If you want a nice time in Bogotá, don't stay at Dios.

The restaurant is great, and the location is excellent.

The staff were super friendly, and the food was so good that you should stay for dinner. The hotel is beautiful, with great design, spacious rooms, and lovely bathrooms. We had an amazing stay.
