Hotel Hostal Caps Corferias

Be careful. They may answer the phone numbers on their website and ask you to pay upfront for a reservation. After you send the money, they switch off their phones, and it turns out there was no reservation.

The hostel's concept surprised me in a good way: decent, private, and stylishly designed with flexibility. It suited a one-night stop to rest, and the location is ideal for Corferias events or an embassy appointment. I arrived by motorcycle and, though there's no parking, it was easy to leave it in the entrance hallway. The woman who helped us was friendly and helpful. The reception area still needs more improvement. On my second visit nobody answered the doorbell, and the woman who had helped us no longer worked there. They should also add at least two showers.

There was no water during my stay, and with shared bathrooms the guests had to relieve themselves on top of each other's waste. I arrived at 10:00 AM Saturday and left at 11:00 AM the next Sunday; the waste was still in the bathroom when I left. I understand Bogotá had water rationing, but the hotel absolutely should have a water tank of its own.

A terrible company. Don't waste your money. They haven't paid investors for months, and they shut locations while still promoting them as though they're successful.
