Hotel Ramada Bogota Parque 93

Getting to pubs, clubs, and restaurants was easy, just a short walk away, and I’d stay here again. It’s a lovely new hotel in a chic part of Bogotá, with modern facilities and super helpful staff. The glaring gap for an otherwise upscale place was the lack of a fitness centre.

Most of the staff were friendly, and the restaurant had some pretty good dishes at very decent prices. But I wouldn’t recommend the hotel or stay there again. The rooms are roomy and the bed is comfortable, so for a couple of days that part is okay. There’s no view from the windows, though, and noisy neighbors can make things unpleasant. A family using three rooms on the same floor couldn’t keep their children at a reasonable volume. The property is also short on facilities. Online agencies list a gym, but there isn’t one. Staff said they had one long ago, and nobody seemed interested in correcting what felt like misinformation or false advertising. The breakfast space is tiny and the food gets repetitive. Check-in was cumbersome. I arrived at 2:15 pm, was told the hotel was full and check-in started at 3:00 pm, then got a room just after 3:30. Someone checked the fridge and noted that items were already missing. I signed to confirm that, yet at checkout they tried to charge me for those items twice. Leaving took around 20 minutes despite there being no line, because they said it was difficult to remove the items I hadn’t consumed from the bill.

The service was splendid at the ground-floor restaurant, but I found the food not that good and the prices high.

I stopped in and the staff were friendly and helpful.
