Karuss Hostel

It was easy to relax at this little hostel, with hammocks, a small courtyard, and a little rooftop. The place was clean, the showers were hot, and the staff were very kind and helpful. There was a kitchen too; it could have been a bit better equipped, but I managed. It's downtown and right next to a little supermarket.

The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, and gave me great advice while helping me plan my trip across Colombia. Awesome place to stay!

This is a review for Hostal Bakano. We were meant to stay at villacandellaria, but for some reason they moved us to Bakano, just across the street. Don't let the low price put you off: it was clean and felt perfectly safe, with a very large private room. It's also very cheap and close to everything in La Candelaria. The staff didn't speak English.

In 15 months of traveling, this was the worst place I've stayed. The beds were so soft that neither my partner nor I could sleep, and we both had back pain in the morning. They don't provide towels, either. For 90'000 pesos, you can easily find a three star hotel.
