Mosaic House Hotel

I stayed for over six weeks in 2021, from November to mid-December, and really enjoyed it. The staff were professional and friendly. Damian and Fernando paid close attention to my requests and made sure I was comfortable. The location is uphill on the east side, but most places are easy to get to. I felt the area was fairly safe at night during my stay, though it's best to take a taxi or other transport rather than walk alone. There's a coffee shop with wonderful baristas Karen and Andrea, and delicious coffee at reasonable prices. You can hang out on the rooftop terrace any time. The internet, smart TVs, and cable TV were great. It's good for short stays and even better for longer ones. Bogota gets cooler at night, so you may need an extra blanket. The faucets only run cold water, but there's always hot water for showers. One thing that could be improved is free laundry for long-term guests. THIS IS NOT PART OF HOTEL REVIEW, JUST INFO I WANT TO SHARE There are grocery stores behind the building on 54th, or Exito is an 8-10 minute walk away. Local transit is safe during the day, but be careful with your belongings. I recommend trying El Mono Bandido for craft beer and burgers, just behind the hotel, and La Poularde, which is a bit expensive but good. There are lots of inexpensive lunch places on 53rd or 7th. For more nightlife, you could go to Usaquen farther north. The closest nightlife I enjoyed was O.D.E.M., a 18-20 minute walk, with no cover before 8pm.
