Hotel Saint Simon

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The service went beyond what we expected, and you can tell the team cares about its guests. Ivan, Fabio, Didio, and John each went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Their helpfulness, attention to detail, and friendly attitude made our stay memorable. From arrival on, everything was handled kindly and professionally. We had an amazing stay, would happily return, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great service. Thanks again to the whole team!

The butler spoke English, which was helpful when I needed to communicate. That was about the only real plus. The hotel is small, and my room was much smaller than I expected. There was no air conditioning, and the bathroom was extremely cramped. Dirty sheets, hair in the sink, and a yellow mark on it were disappointing. The motion sensor kept switching off the hallway light while I was trying to enter my door code, making it frustrating to get in. I’d booked two nights, but these issues made me cut the stay short and go back to the hotel I’d been at before.

The rest of the stay was nice, which makes this especially disappointing. At checkout they charged me 428,000 COP (96 EUR) for laundry, the same as three nights at the hotel. I’d only sent a few socks, some underwear, and a few shirts. I hadn’t asked the price beforehand because it was just a few things, but I felt they were taking advantage of that. Charging as much for one load as for three nights doesn’t show much care for customer service. I find it unacceptable.

Ivan is the best. He’s a friendly face who gives local recommendations and really makes the place what it is. Great hotel.
