The toilet was filthy and clogged, then overflowed. Water ran out under the door and flooded the room. The receptionist talked a lot but didn’t do anything, and never dealt with the problems that kept us up late. The rooms don’t feel safe because there’s no key to lock the door. The shared kitchen is poorly equipped, and although the shower has hot water, it takes forever to come through. They didn’t compensate me at all. Never go to this hostel.
I do not recommend this hostel. The bathroom was dirty and didn’t work, and neither did the shower. When the receptionist said he’d fixed it, he moved us to another room and tried to charge extra, claiming we were using two rooms. There’s also no security for the rooms, so other guests can easily walk into them. That’s a huge concern in a city like Bogotá, with a very high crime rate. Terrible customer service.
Everyone at Vivo Hostel was friendly and made me feel at ease. The food, location, and hostel itself were all lovely. If you need a break from the daily grind and want to feel at home while you’re away, this is a great place for an intimate connection like I’ve never experienced before. And I can’t forget Angela 🐶. Highly recommend ✌️
I didn’t stay here, but everyone I met during my visit was incredibly attentive. The place is clean, organized, and stylish, with a new concept for a hostel.
The hostel itself is beautiful and comfortable, but the receptionist was unpleasant and rude. We pretty much had to work everything out ourselves.
