A really relaxing place to spend a laid-back vacation. The team were so friendly and made us feel at home, and Ana Rosa’s cooking always tasted amazing, like it was made with love. The huts are simple but perfectly fine, the nearby beaches have soft white sand, and I thought it was great value. Locals run the place, and there’s a dive center on site where you can book snorkeling or diving trips. They also run canoe tours through the mangroves, and we learned a lot about the wildlife. Highly recommend!

We were stranded on the island after the tour company we’d booked to bring us to Rosario Island left us there. The Las Palmeras team, especially Daniel, called several companies to try to get us back to Cartagena, but when that didn’t work, they arranged for a friend to take us to the mainland by private boat. Without their help, we probably wouldn’t have gotten off the island in time for our flight. We’re so grateful! EcoHotel Las Palmeras was very clean and quiet, with comfortable beds and showers and a good, inexpensive restaurant on site. The hotel was affordable, and we loved unwinding there. The food was so good we didn’t eat anywhere else. The staff were kind and helpful throughout. We’d happily stay there again if we return to the island. Thank you, Daniel and the Las Palmeras team! 😍

Our room was great, with mosquito nets over the beds, and the included breakfast came with fresh fruit, eggs, and arepas. There’s also a bar, restaurant, and shop for snacks on site. We really enjoyed our stay on Isla Grande, and the service was lovely. I’d recommend it.

The rooms were basic but clean, just as described when booking, so that wasn’t a surprise. The staff, location, and facilities were lovely, and the food was AMAZING with great prices, around 30000-35000COP. Highly recommend.

The hotel is a good fit if you want an eco hotel at a good price. From the pier where you get dropped off, it’s a straight three-minute walk. Once you know your way around, the two nicest beach resorts on the island’s eastern side are about five or ten minutes away on foot. My friend and I spent most of our time at one of them. The people at palmeras were accommodating, though a little closed off, and I enjoyed my stay and can recommend the hotel. Mosquitoes are everywhere on the island, especially where there’s no direct sea breeze, but the beds have nets. Definitely bring repellent. To leave the island, coordinate with the hotel even if you’ve already booked a round trip. They’ll call the ferry service for you and take you to the dock.
