We had our honeymoon in the penthouse suite at Hotel Astoria 27 years ago. I still remember it fondly as “Elegance on a Budget.” Beautiful memories.

The facilities are very old, there aren’t enough towels or fans, and there are cockroaches. You have to leave your keys in the lobby. It’s not worth saving a little money to stay here. Don’t stay at this hotel!

Our group arrived to check in at 11 pm on November 21, 2026, and the manager and a woman at the hotel were both rude. One person in our group was charged for a bath towel because it had a little makeup on it. I expected people in Cali to be friendly, so the experience was terrible. We hope we never have to stay here again.

The room had cockroaches, the elevator was in poor condition, and the staff weren't friendly. The woman also had a bad attitude. For what the hotel offers, the price is very high compared with other places in the area.
