The only bright spot was the other lovely travelers. We ended up sharing an unplanned New Year’s drink on the rooftop terrace. The dorm smelled awful, and the place was very dirty. I stayed at the end of the feria and over New Year’s, and the seasonal rate was 100k COP a night for a 6 bed dorm. It definitely wasn’t worth that much. The staff didn’t make extra effort to clean or organize activities during those busy days, so charging so much more felt like a shame. Even after the crowds had left and the place was cleaned, the kitchen and bathroom were disgusting. It seemed like they only mopped the floor. There were lots of semi aggressive signs about what guests weren’t allowed to do, and hardly any encouraging messages or effort to create a good atmosphere. Sad.

The dance classes are amazing and cheap, with well qualified teachers, and you can choose group or private lessons. Havana felt more like home than anywhere else I’ve stayed during over a year of traveling. The staff are incredibly nice, and you meet plenty of travelers and other nice people. Honestly, it’s the best hostel in Cali. I’d definitely recommend it and come back.

I’d recommend the dance classes. They feel safe and fun, and you get to learn some dance techniques. The classes are great and trustworthy.

I spent 5 days at Havana Hostel Cali and had such a good time. Boris and the reception team gave incredible service, and the hostel was super clean with a great location and vibe. We went out to clubs together, there was always something fun going on, and I made lots of new friends. No doubt, it’s the best hostel in Cali!

It’s a nice, inexpensive hostel with great facilities. There’s coworking space, 2 kitchens, and a rooftop. The best part is that the dance classes are right next to the hostel.
