HBCF Hotel Boutique Casa Farallones de Santiago de Cali

I paid through the Agoda application and got a booking confirmation, but when I arrived, the hotel staff said they had no contract with Agoda and were fully booked. I had to find another hotel in the middle of the night. They did let me use their WiFi and wait in the lobby until I found somewhere else to go.

Lock your luggage, even in a private room. They cleaned our room without asking, and I strongly suspect my camera, lens, and charger may have been stolen from there. The hotel has a lot of potential, and we were excited about the pool when we booked, but they told us there was an issue with it and we couldn't use it during our stay. The free breakfast looked good, though we couldn't try it because we're vegan. The coffee was good. We appreciated having Bluetooth speakers in the room, but wished there were a window to let in some natural light. One person also tried to make us pay in cash despite there being a credit card option. With a few changes, this could be a great place.

We spent two days here with my wife and were really impressed. The rooms were clean and fantastic, and we had a great time at the pool with friends. Great service, a lovely location, and a great price. Highly recommend it.

Stay away. I’d paid for the room in advance, but while I was out all day, the manager removed my belongings from it. That night I ended up moving between two other hotels with a police escort. Quite an experience. I guess Booking.com stopped working with this hotel because of what happened.
