The view is the only thing I really liked. There’s no privacy in the rooms, and no air conditioning. Customer service was shockingly poor: after check-in, it felt like they forgot about us. Cristina at reception was often absent, as were the other staff, who were also frequently late. I paid for laundry and regretted it. The food wasn’t good enough, and I couldn’t get a full night’s rest. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless saving money is the priority or you won’t spend much time at the hotel. Calypso hotel is a better option. Check around before booking; this place wasn’t worth it.

The rooms are spacious, the staff are helpful, and the location is excellent, right by the docks. But it’s fans only, no air conditioning, and the power goes off from 5am, so expect to wake up hot and early. Some guests talk loudly and play very loud music with their doors open. The sliding doors have big gaps, so you can hear everything. Showers are cold, with just a pipe and no shower head.

I booked directly by WhatsApp four weeks ahead, but when I arrived around 6pm, they told me there was no room for me. They offered a room in another building, which I wasn’t happy with, so I had to find a last-minute Airbnb. It felt like bait and switch. People in my group had planned to stay a few days but left after one night because, apparently, the rooms were roasting hot. I heard ownership may have changed recently, but that’s just hearsay. I didn’t enjoy Capurgana in general and would suggest staying in nearby Sapzurro instead, which I found quieter and more quaint.

The staff are friendly, and the location is good. But the rooms feel expensive for what you get: no AC, cold showers, and no outlets by the beds. The bar music goes on late and is extremely loud, and with no soundproofing in the rooms, there’s nowhere to get away from it.
