Hotel Caribbean Cartagena

I felt safe traveling solo, and Roberto deserves a special mention for going out of his way to help me. The room was spacious and clean, with a very large TV and a wonderful sea view. The pool was small, but being right by the water with waves crashing inches from my feet more than made up for it. The team spoke no English and I spoke no Spanish, but that didn't get in the way. Customer service was excellent from reception to the bar and breakfast staff. The local, traditional breakfast was yummy, and this was a lovely boutique hotel.

The sea view from the pool is breathtaking, and the restaurant was really convenient with prompt service. We didn't wake up early enough to try breakfast. It is a bit far from El Centro, so you need to plan for the trip back and forth. The staff were kind, accommodating, and helpful from the start. They were understanding when my boyfriend and I came in late at night after partying. I’d definitely consider staying here next time I'm in Cartagena.

The rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. The restaurant has a nice little ocean view. Breakfast was included, although much of the buffet, including coffee, had run out an hour before it was supposed to end. There was also a leak in the hallway roof. Good, just not great.

I came in unexpectedly for lunch, and they made me a special vegetarian mushroom pasta. The staff were kind and helpful, and let me sit and recover from a twisted ankle. Highly recommended.
