The two pools were a treat, one downstairs and one on the roof. We cooled off at the rooftop pool after hot days, and there were plenty of comfortable loungers up there. Breakfast is served in its own room, where the cook will make whatever you like. The whole hotel is beautiful, set in an old traditional building with lovely architecture. Our room was huge, modern but still warm, and the bed was so comfortable we could have slept for days. The friendly, supportive staff made us feel at home. Special thanks to David, you were awesome! Casa Belle feels like a calm little retreat in the middle of busy Cartagena, and it’s a short walk from great restaurants. I’ve visited the city at least six times and stayed in some of its finest luxury hotels, but none compare for me. The booking communication was personal and smooth from the start. The rooms are gorgeous, the decor is stunning, and the staff are exceptional. I’ve traveled widely and stayed in plenty of luxurious places, and this ranks among the very best. Casa Belle is a true gem, and I can see myself returning again and again.

It’s a beautiful hotel in a quiet, good location, and the staff are polite, though they don’t seem very interested in looking after you. For what it costs, I wouldn’t recommend it. There are better hotels in Cartagena for the same or less. Our room was spacious and nice, but the shower didn’t work properly. The shampoo and soap were only supplied for one person despite there being two of us, and the bathrobes looked old and gray, as if they’d been used for years. They advertise two pools, but the rooftop one is tiny. The larger pool in the lobby looks more decorative, and leaves from the trees were left in it during our stay. We asked for coffee and were told the machine was broken. Disappointing to be in Colombia and unable to get a hotel coffee. Breakfast isn’t a buffet. You can order food, which was okay but not especially good, and we could eat much better outside for less. These are small issues, and at $100 it would be a great option. But at $200 a night plus $50 in taxes, I expected much better service.

A pool day pass costs 120,000 pesos and comes with fresh fish for lunch, lemonade, wine, and towels. There are two pools, including one on the rooftop. Massages were great, though spa services cost extra.
