Casa de Huespedes Leyendas Del Mar

Leyendas del Mar is a clean, friendly place to wake up in and unwind at the end of the day, with breakfast that’s more than adequate. It’s just a 5 min. walk from the Clock Tower Gate of the old town. The people there are some of the nicest you could hope to meet. This isn’t a resort, so if resort-style accommodation is what makes a trip for you, look elsewhere. But for an enjoyable hotel, this place is for you.

The rooftop terrace was nice, and breakfast was good. The rooms are on the small-ish side, though we only needed ours for sleeping and showering. It’s a nice place on a quiet side street, but the hallways and interior echo a lot. As a light sleeper, I heard guests going to breakfast and found it a bit noisy. We didn’t use the small pool.

The room was clean, with a nice bathroom, good beds and air conditioning. Breakfast had fruit, eggs, bread, juice, coffee and more. It’s a really nice, new place, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooftop isn’t finished yet, but they’re building a jacuzzi, and there’s a rooftop bar. The neighborhood is the best in Cartagena, and the best pizzaplace is at the end/beginning of the street.

The fast Wi-Fi was the cherry on top, though my Tigo SIM card had no signal inside. That’s Tigo’s fault, but it was the one downside. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with anything, and the cook was just as friendly. Breakfast was really good, with local flavor. The rooms were as advertised and comfortable, the shower’s hot water was cool, and the AC was a big help.
