My second night went fine, though I did take the mirror down after it hit my head the first night. I set it aside and told the staff, since it seemed safer that way. The first night, the mirror fell on my head, and the curtains hit me when I moved them slightly to let in some light. They were barely attached, and the rod was broken. The lights also went out while I was showering. The hotel is in a peaceful spot and has a nice pool and a great location. The breakfast was good too. Cleaning could have been better: on my first day, I found wet pieces of toilet paper on the floor and the whole roll soaked, so I had to ask for another one. Juliette, I think that was her name, was the real bright spot. She was welcoming and smiley.

Casa Heredia is a small, mostly quiet boutique hotel in the heart of the old city, with historic sites, plazas, and authentic dining just minutes away. Our room was nice, the bathroom modern, and the A/C worked so well that it was frosty when we came back from exploring. Breakfast was included and made to order, with coffee, juice, fruit, toast, and a delicious, authentic main dish, always served hot. The staff were consistently polite, respectful, and helpful. A good place if you plan to spend most of your time in the city. No children.

The breakfasts were amazing, with really fresh food and a choice of fruit, toast, coffee, eggs, and a traditional side. The scrambled eggs with patacones pictured here were out of this world. We paid about $50/night, which is ridiculously cheap for this part of town. The bed was comfy, the bathroom clean and roomy, and the staff super nice. If you're thinking about staying here, do yourself a favor and just book it already!

Juliette and Andrea were the best, and the staff overall were phenomenal. The house works really well for a group of about 10. The rooms are nice, especially the very, very nice suite, and it’s on a quiet street close to everything. I’ve got nothing bad to say. You’d have the time of your life there!
