The hotel is absolutely beautiful and spotless, and the staff are kind, smart, and eager to help. Breakfast was simple but delicious; I’d have liked more options, such as oatmeal or pancakes. The Jacuzzi was empty and should be kept filled. As a tourist, I found the lack of a front reception desk a real disadvantage. There wasn’t one central person or hub for information, so getting basic concierge or front desk advice took longer than it should, and the answers weren’t always correct. Maybe that’s because basic information isn’t readily available in Old Town, rather than the staff’s fault. Since the exterior door stayed locked, you also had to ring the bell every time you came back in. Having a knowledgeable, experienced person at the main entrance, with the door open from 7am to 9pm, might work for the business since staff are already inside.

A lovely small rooftop and an air-conditioned lounge made for nice places to rest after sightseeing. Breakfast was made to order every morning, with no buffet, and the staff and service were 5 star. This boutique hotel has only 9 rooms in Cartagena’s walled old city. There’s no elevator because of its size, so anyone with physical limitations should take that into account.

We’ve had a great stay, with delicious breakfasts, amazing and friendly staff, and a quiet night’s sleep. It’s close to everything in the city and has great ocean views. The one reason I’d give it 4 stars is that the mattress was a bit uncomfortable.

The room had outstanding design and fitout, and the staff made the stay feel unique. We loved having breakfast on the roof, and the rooftop jacuzzi was an incredible place to unwind. I had an absolutely amazing time and will definitely come back next time I’m in cartagena.

I strongly advise against Don Victor because it gets so little sunlight. We stayed in Don Antonio, which was a great room. The hotel felt almost like having your own house, with just 7 rooms, and the staff were helpful and nice. It’s perfectly located, with spectacular ocean views. Google’s 3 star statement is false in my opinion, this is at least a 4.5 star hotel.
