Estelar Cartagena de Indias Hotel

I was very impressed during my business trip. The design is exceptionally thoughtful, and the hotel manages to be comfortable and functional. Attentive, seamless service made everything stress free. I'd definitely return and use it as my go to hotel for future business stays in Cartagena.

Breakfast came with fresh juices and fruit each day, and the buffet was set up in a lovely tropical style with a refreshing view. There’s also a sky bar and several restaurants in the hotel. Our room was spacious, and the whole place was clean and accommodating, with laundry service, a gym, and a jacuzzi. We spent about four nights here. The staff usually greeted us warmly, though one person made us feel unwelcome. The water views are remarkable, with the hotel sitting between the ocean and the bay. You can watch the sunset across the street, and there’s a mini mall with shops and food options, plus a supermarket right next door. It’s a five-minute drive to the walled city for old town shopping and fine dining. Downtown Cartagena is nearby too, with other places to eat and shop within walking distance outside the old walled city. I liked that the key only let us reach our own floor, and was needed to move around the hotel. It made us feel safer.

Mariana at reception made a lasting impression on me. She was warm, attentive, and professional from the start, and handled every request smoothly while going out of her way to help. Her kindness and care made the service feel personal and seamless. Everything about my stay was top-notch. Mariana clearly takes pride in her work and cares about guests. She’s a real asset to the hotel, and I hope her work gets recognized. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you for making the stay unforgettable.

The breakfast had lots of options, including gluten-free bread and chicken broth, which was especially welcome after I got food poisoning from street food sachipapas. The staff across the services were pleasant and attentive, and Mildreth the concierge helped us book our trip to Barú island. A special thanks to manager Miguel, who helped arrange a refund for one night after the airline changed our flight. The hotel is right in front of the beach. We’ll be back 😍
