The location is convenient, but it's very busy, with random street noise all night. There was no hot water at all, and the hostel guests in shared rooms stayed up making noise. You could hear them right inside my room. The receptionists didn't speak English and were rude, giving me wrong information to refuse my requests and having an attitude about everything. The one with glasses was watching something loudly for at least an hour. When I pointed it out, she lied that she'd just arrived and hadn't even opened her phone. Another day I rang the bell and waited patiently, then rang again, but nobody answered. I pressed it a few times in a row to make sure someone heard and opened the main door. The same girl came and immediately told me I had to wait if I rang. I'd already waited, and told her she couldn't speak to me that way. All she needed to say was sorry, I didn't hear the bell. It's quite loud upstairs. She was very unprofessional. She also refused to give me a hairdryer, saying the hotel didn't have one. On the night shift, a man told me they normally do have one, but another guest was using it. He was helpful and attentive with everything. There's no lift, and if the girl with glasses is at reception when you check in, she won't help carry your bags up from the ground floor. They only provide one towel, not a second one. When I asked to change ours, the same girl brought new towels while holding them in a way that felt unhygienic, pressed against her clothes and bare arm. It disgusted me. The housekeeper, though, was kind and nice. There are no plug adaptors and no in-room safe lockers. I won't book here again.

*Don't book with this host!* I regret choosing this place through Agoda. On February 5th I emailed to ask if they preferred payment in cash. They didn't reply, and that seems to be their pattern. My Spirit Airlines flight from Chicago was delayed on February 21, so I missed my connection to Cartagena. I contacted Agoda support right away and asked them to tell the host about the delay. When I got to Hostal Casa Tores on February 22, the front desk clerk, Yaireth, told me the reservation had been canceled, the room had gone to another guest, and they couldn't refund my credit card. They refuse to communicate, in my view effectively steal your money, and then shut the door in your face. I've filed a dispute with my credit card issuer. Next I'll make a consumer complaint to the Office of the Attorney General of Illinois. *Don't book with this host!*

Good location, sturdy wooden bunks and a practical kitchen. There's a light, power and USB charging at the bunks, plus a towel, liquid soap in the bathrooms and a roof terrace. No privacy curtains or lockers.

We had the double room with a balcony, which was spacious and looked straight onto a lively street. The air conditioning was cool, very useful in this hot, humid city. The place is beautiful, though traffic can make it noisy. We enjoyed our stay, using it as the meeting point for our group truck tour.

The people I met in the dorm were nice, but I'd look elsewhere for a better stay. I ran into other signs of poor care too. When I asked receptionist Angie where I could get photocopies, she brushed me off because it was Sunday and the shops were closed. A little apology would've helped, but she showed no sympathy or courtesy.
