There are lots of restaurants, bars, drug stores, and shopping malls nearby. Ocean View hostel is an affordable, good place to stay, about a 10-15 minute walk from the main Bocagrande beach. The service could be better, and I really wish the shared bathroom had cold water.

We arrived in the evening with a confirmed reservation for two rooms, but were told there was no space for us. They’d already charged us and wouldn’t return the money, just sent us to find another hotel. The woman at reception was mean and unhelpful. Horrible hostel, the worst.
