Hotel Abi Inn by Geh Suites

Simple rooms, fine for a short visit. You can walk to the old town and citadelle.

The best part was the price for a beachfront hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, and I joined them for exercise and stretching each morning, which they should advertise. The room was good, and the pool and hot tub were clean and nice. No hot water, but that wasn’t a problem for me. Breakfast each day was delicious, hot, plentiful and served promptly. There was always car service to El Centro, the mall or the airport. When I arrived, the front desk watched my luggage while I waited for my room, so I went across the street to the beach to relax, drink and eat. The one downside was a charge for guests. I’d stay again and recommend it to anyone going to Cartegena.

The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. The shower water was warm rather than hot, but fine to use, and the AC worked best set to 26 for me. Since the hotel is across from the beach, there was sand around, and the staff were always sweeping and cleaning. They greeted us warmly whenever we came back from an outing. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and ate lunch elsewhere while we were out. Breakfast was okay, with fresh fruit, eggs and something else. Dinner was great, and they’d bring it to the pool patio if you were swimming. Coffee and fresh juice were always available. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Hope you enjoy your stay too.

The price was cheap and the hotel was good, with a nice pool. The walls are thin, though, and we could hear everything happening in the corridor.
