The location is fantastic, and the staff are lovely. The owner helped us with everything we needed. It's inexpensive and not fancy, so don't stay here if you're after a fancy hotel. For the price, I give it five stars. Certainly a five star hotel though.

The breakfast is very basic, and although the rooms have air conditioning, lots of things are old. The rooftop terrace is full of broken stuff, and the place needs a major renovation. It may have had three stars 20 years ago.

I stayed here with my girlfriend in November 2018, and we had a good time. The location was nice, the staff were friendly, and the air conditioner worked, which matters a lot in Cartagena.

There was grime and clutter everywhere, plus lots of street noise and no hot water in the shower. They didn't change the bed sheets, which were so old they wouldn't stay on the bed, and they didn't even put a towel in the bathroom. There wasn't a working fridge anywhere in the building, just a broken one in the room, lol. An utter dump.

The hostel was really clean, with good water pressure in the washrooms. Breakfast was good, and coffee was free. The staff don't speak English, but they were still super helpful and accommodating.
