The room price seemed fair, and the hotel is well placed for the walled city and shopping. We enjoyed the stay and the nice balcony view. The hotel is simple, and the staff were friendly. As two young women, 25yrs, visiting from the USA, we found the AC worked well and the free breakfast was simple, nothing fancy. One room had hot water and the other didn't. With May's excessive heat, I didn't mind the lukewarm water. There was only bar soap and towels, no shampoo or hair dryer or anything else. For five stars, I'd expect more luxury.

The room was dark since it had no windows, but for the price, I can't complain. It was clean and centrally located in the old town. The free breakfast was nice, with a variety of dishes to choose from.

An inexpensive, central place to stay. Our room fit 5 people and had a private bathroom. Each night's stay included breakfast, and the hotel was clean. Staff were helpful, and restaurants, shopping, bars and those beautifully colored streets were just a quick walk away.

The location inside the walled city is the one good thing. Other guests found not one but two rats in their room, and the accommodations are in very poor condition. The internet is okay-ish for WhatsApp or Google Maps, but YouTube doesn't work even at the lowest quality. The water was cold.

I spent a wk in Cartagena and stayed at the Hotel Santa Cruz. I loved how quiet it was and felt right at home. The service was excellent, the hot water was very good, and breakfast was really good too. The air conditioner got very cold. I loved it.
