I could walk everywhere in Cartagena from this hostel, so the location made exploring easy. José, Gabi, and everyone on staff made me feel welcome and at home. The rooms and bathrooms stayed very clean, and having breakfast included each morning was a nice touch. I also loved the free water and coffee available 24/7, plus the rooftop and jacuzzi. They offer cooking classes too. One of the best hostel stays I’ve had, with no complaints. I’d absolutely stay again whenever I’m back in Cartagena.

My friend and I were really comfortable in the 4-bed dorm at Life is Good. Each bed has a curtain, outlet and locker, and both the room and shared bathroom were comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was really good. My friend is gluten-free, and they handled that well. Great location, and the rooftop was a nice extra. We’d recommend it and would definitely stay again.

The cooking course with OMAR was so much fun. We made the best PRAWN dish ever, and the Coco rice blew me away. I also had a lovely, enjoyable stay at LIFE IS GOOD HOSTEL, where the staff were so friendly and kind. They work really hard and deserve every success. Wishing the whole LIFE IS GOOD HOSTEL team all the best. I hope I’ll be back soon for more recipes with OMAR.

The breakfast made right in front of us was a favorite, especially the freshly made fruit juices. As a Canadian who travels often, I’d recommend this place and plan to come back. The room was spotless, cozy and nicely decorated, with everything I needed for a comfortable night. The bed was incredibly soft, and I slept better than I have in ages. Staff made me feel welcome and looked after as soon as I checked in. The hotel felt peaceful and relaxing, with warm hospitality, careful cleaning and thoughtful details. I woke up refreshed and didn’t want to leave. It was one of my most enjoyable hotel stays, and I’ll definitely return. Highly recommend it for comfort, quality and a memorable stay!

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but joined a Colombian coocking class. It was lovely, and we made a local dish and a cocktail. The people were very friendly and helpfull, and they sent us photos and recipes afterward. The class was a bit short. 4 stars!
