The staff were friendly and the location was fine. There isn’t much to do nearby, but there are plenty of places to eat, which suited what we expected for the price. What we did need was a clean room, and that was a real letdown. Mold covered the shower, sink, walls, and even the bed, and the whole room smelled of it. The water also stopped working twice during our three-night stay. If you book here, spend a little more for air-conditioning. The economy rooms with just a fan get so hot at night it’s hard to breathe.

Casa de Manga makes it easy to get around, with a quick, inexpensive Uber ride to Plaza Centenario for exploring the old city. It’s near the cruise port, though it isn’t in the heart of the historic area. A comfortable base for seeing Cartagena, with access taking priority over being surrounded by historic charm.

I stayed there in July 2017. The rooms were small but really clean, and the customer service was great. It felt like a very safe place to unwind after a long day, with an easy location for the malls and historic area. It was also a good spot to meet locals.

Not the place I’d choose for a romantic getaway, but it worked well for shipping a car to or from columbia, with the harbor and offices nearby. Dogs were allowed, the rooms were clean, and service was good. The manager and staff were super friendly and helpful.

A great value in a wonderful city, with a family-friendly feel and a great location. This is easily the best hotel in Cartagena Colombia, and it doesn’t get better than this.
