Hotel Patio de Getsemaní

Staying at Patio de Getsemani felt like coming home, not checking into a hotel. We stayed twice, and they let us leave our luggage there while we were away. They even arranged a breakfast to go, and after checking out we could come back for a shower that afternoon before leaving. The staff were so friendly and went beyond what we expected.

On Sundays, people play baseball in the street right outside the hotel. Even so, the place is close to Cartagena's historic sights and fun areas, but far enough from them to be quiet when it's time to sleep. The front rooms look out toward the wall and water, and there's a rooftop area too. It feels very safe, with just a few rooms and staff keeping an eye on who comes and goes. Leo, the owner, and everyone working there were sweet, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. It's a wonderful spot in a great part of town. I'd absolutely recommend it for a visit to Cartagena and Getsemani.

The owners were so kind. I arrived in Cartagena feeling motion sick and needed to lie down, so they hurried to get a room ready and brought tea to my door to see if I was okay. Leo, thank you for everything. I felt very safe here, with 24-hour reception, cameras, and a heavy gate. The place has a magical feel, plants growing through the building, friendly smiles, and a rooftop jacuzzi. My room had great AC and a connected bathroom, plus two twin day beds that would work well for kids or friends traveling together. There are large rooms for families and extra spots to relax. It's also really cute if you're looking for an Instagram photo. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with fruit, coffee, toast, and eggs, and it was included. An authentic, comfortable stay.

The girls at reception made my birthday so special. They were kind enough to buy me a cake and sing happy birthday, and I'll never forget it. It meant a lot! I was there with a friend, and we loved the location and the outstanding service. Everyone was so nice, and the breakfast was delicious and carefully prepared, better than I expected.
