Our flight landed at 6 am, so we booked this through byhours.com to get a room and sleep for a few hours before checking into our hotel later that day. The service was great, and the beds were extremely comfortable. It was exactly what we needed.

For a good budget hotel in Cartagena, this place is an easy recommendation. I came for dental work, which I also highly recommend, and was nervous after reading stories about summer rooms without AC, ancient beds, and threadbare sheets. My AC worked fine, and the room was clean, quiet, and safe, with a small fridge, TV, phone, and other amenities. I never worried about someone breaking in and taking my computer, which happened to a friend in Cambodia. The staff were friendly, helpful, and honest. I once left a dollar tip on the pillow for the cleaning lady, then found it on the dresser, as if it had just fallen there. Breakfast is a basic buffet, but good enough, and I especially liked the OJ, which tasted freshly squeezed. For dinner in the cafeteria, try the bacon cheeseburger. It's tasty and filling.
