Santo Tomas Los Morros

The rooms were really gross, damp-smelling and moldy, which feels like a health hazard. There wasn't any running water, not even in the bathroom to wash your hands. This place is awful and should be shut down. Never go here!

The beach is just across the street, and it's always very quiet and clean. Mr. Pedro was friendly and attentive. The hotel should improve its ventilation because it feels damp.

I can't give it less than 1 star, and for that price you can find things 10 times better. This is a rip-off. Most of the reviews seem fake, with multiple reviews from the same people that don't match reality. The photos are completely fake, some are from many years ago and some show a completely different hotel. The reception shown in the pictures doesn't even exist. The place felt claustrophobic, with cracks and holes everywhere and a foul fishy, damp smell as soon as we arrived. The pool was green and completely disgusting, probably moldy. Nobody was friendly and there was no ventilation. The beds shown at the entrance didn't have mattresses, and there was nowhere to leave your things if you arrive early. On the way there, you have to walk through a dangerous street. A few days ago, someone tried to strangle a hotel guest on the beach right in front of it. Everything was unsanitary, so we had to escape as soon as we arrived. Don't go there.

You step outside and you're right on the sand, since the hotel is right on the beach. It's a pleasant place, and Mr. Pedro is friendly and attentive. I'd recommend it, except the bar wasn't open and looked a bit neglected, so I'm giving it 4 stars.
