Serrezuela Rooms

The bed was very comfortable, and the place was clean when we arrived, though it smelled a little damp. We had a coffee maker and two bottles of water included. Everything else was great, but I missed having a shelf for my bag, since I had to leave my clothes on the floor. One issue I saw involved another guest, not our stay directly. Their lock battery had died, leaving them unable to get in. They called the manager, who arrived an hour later, saw they couldn’t enter, then left. He came back another half hour later and had to replace the battery before the guest could get inside. I wouldn’t wish that wait in a hot, closed space without air conditioning on anyone.

The balcony added a special touch to our room, and even helped dry some wet clothes. The bed was very comfortable, and the decor was lovely. We couldn’t get the coffee maker to work, and the bathroom light timer could use a little more time, since it went off while we were showering. We fell in love with this room inside the walled city. Everything we planned to do was nearby, or at most a 15-minute walk if we went to the castle on foot. There’s a large market with an ATM across from the guesthouse. It was easy and quick to communicate with the host and get some room items replenished. Entry to both the guesthouse and the room was by code, which was a plus. We’ve already recommended it to friends!

The location is excellent and the rooms are nice. You can easily hear noise from other rooms, though, and adjusting the air conditioning is difficult.
