Wonderland Hostel By GB Collection

A nice hostel with an easy, short walk from the airport. The air conditioning worked well, and the restaurant had excellent food and drinks at good value. It wasn’t quite my scene because there were more families when I visited, and I prefer adults-only hostels, but the place itself is nice.

My first visit to Cartagena, and the staff made us feel so welcome. They were happy to accommodate our vegan diet and put together a delicious meal. 10/10.

This is a lovely new hostel with welcoming owners and staff. A few things are still being sorted out since it’s so new, but it’s very clean and comfortable. There’s a nice pool, several shared spaces, and a good kitchen. It’s only a few minutes on foot from the Airport, with a short, inexpensive taxi ride into the city centre. Breakfast is included, and when lots of guests are around, there’s a good party. I recommend staying here :)

The location was okay, with the airport very close and plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. But the air conditioning didn’t come on until 7 p.m., even though daytime temperatures were +40 centigrade degree. I went to the pool to cool down, but its pump didn’t work after 2 p.m. There’s no kitchen for guests, and the only pool umbrella was broken. The staff seemed depressed. So much for excellent service and good cooking!
