We only stayed one night, though we wished we could have stayed longer. The senora was really helpful, and the food was excellent, healthy, and served in big portions. There were baby monkeys, baby dogs, parrots, and lots of other animals around, which we loved. It’s camping, so bring your own towels and basics if you can. We weren’t very prepared, but the lady helped us out. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature, animals, and friendly service.

A lovely family and a lovely place tucked into the jungle. Karen’s food was amazing too. We’d love to come back!

A great spot to finish a nice hike through Tayrona. The campground owners were very friendly, and the food was great. Prices felt fair. The tents are a little old and small, so I’d definitely get one per person. Staying here was a great experience, highly recommend.

We stayed in hammocks, which were really comfortable, and you can ask for mosquito nets. The food they make is delicious, though the portions are massive! It feels like a homestay with a lovely, super friendly family, and the birds wandering around, chickens, pheasants, roosters, ducks and more, are fun to watch. It’s a beautiful place in the forest in Tayrona National Park, and a good pick if you want a local camping experience. I highly recommend visiting the nearby Indigenous Kougi village. We don’t speak Spanish, so Karen came along to translate. Thank you, Karen! Playa Brava is about a 1.5 hour walk away, and Boca de Saco is a little closer. In my opinion, it’s the best beach on the coast. You can continue along the coast to Cabo San Juan, la piscina, arenilla, arrecife, and Cañaveral, then all the way to the main park entrance at El Zaino. The nearest entrance to La Cima is Calabazo entrance in Tayrona NP. It takes about 45 minutes to walk, but it’s hilly and you’ll sweat. You can also take a motorcycle for a small fee. There’s an entrance fee for the park, plus a small road maintenance fee. Enjoy your stay!

Sleeping in a tent at the top of the Hill viewpoint was a unique, amazing experience, with sunrise and sunset facing the Sierra Nevada. A wonderful family runs this beautiful eco-camping. Karen’s homemade food and drinks from her garden are delicious. Highly recommended.
