Hospedaje La Casona

The location is fantastic, right in the center of Tabio, with bus stops, hairdressers, bakeries, restaurants, and pretty much everything close by. I lived at La Casona for over eight months. The kitchen is useful for cooking, and there are two living rooms, one with a large TV. WiFi was down most of the time, so foreign guests staying a few nights might want a Colombian SIM for mobile data. Most staff are friendly, but one housekeeper stole money and electronics from the room. You also have to ring to get in, and that same housekeeper would yell from his room that he'd come or that you had to wait while he finished his game. My room had spiders in the closet, curtains, bathroom, ceiling, everywhere. I found it disgusting, and removing or killing them never stopped more from appearing. Some weekends got crowded, with people talking in the hallways and living rooms at night, and the doors and windows let a lot of noise in. It wasn't like that all the time, but it could cost you sleep.

Miss Laura and the other women on staff are what make La Casona so special. They're devoted to their guests, offer excellent service, and know a lot about places to visit in Tabio and nearby. The house has plenty of thoughtful touches, including morning coffee, tea, and bread, a sauna, board games for the whole family, good WiFi, and hot water, which I really need in cold weather. I can't think of anywhere else I'd recommend for a stay in Tabio. I'm planning to come back in December, and I'll stay at La Casona again.

Lots of restaurants are nearby, and you're very close to the historic center and other places of interest in this lovely village.

The staff at this small hotel are so friendly. They even got up at 4 a.m. to make us coffee before we left.
