We had a great time, especially on the little fishing trip we booked through the hostel. The restaurant was tasty and fairly priced, too. The staff were lovely, and the man at reception helped us sort out several problems with our other travel plans. They even kindly upgraded our rooms. Getting there without your own vehicle is a bit tricky, though. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the main road. Once there, it’s a really nice spot with its own small private beach. 👍🏿😅

The staff were so sweet and helpful, and the hospitality was amazing. You just cross the street to reach the ocean. The food was delicious, with a great variety of juices. I also liked their commitment to sustainability, including the outdoor decorations made from recycled materials.

A lovely place to unwind, with a beautiful beach, plenty of hammocks, good swimming, and perfect sunsets. This is the only hostal on the beach, while the other places are hotels. The owner has kept the feel of a family home, and it’s very chilled rather than a party spot. They serve all three meals. I only had the fish at lunch, and it was a generous, tasty portion at a reasonable price. If you’re after some peace, this is the place 🙏

The host is a really friendly guy, and his wife and baby daughter were there too. Customer service could be a little better, but I’d still recommend the place if you want a quiet beach break without much fuss or tourism. You can spend the day in a hammock on the private beach, maybe with a Coco loco or two, or pick from activities offered at the hostel. We stayed during the week, and there weren’t many people or activities on site. The kitchen was also missing utensils, barely enough for a meal for two. Although it calls itself a hostel, it felt more like a hotel. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available, with lunch costing around 30000 pesos.

There’s quite a bit to improve, from the infrastructure to the service. The staff were friendly overall, though they could be friendlier. Upstairs, the floorboards don’t block noise or dirt from the first floor, where water and sand come in from the beach. They’re also very loud to walk on. The menu doesn’t have all the options it lists, but the food itself is good once it arrives. Serving times need work as well.
