The beach right in front is lovely, and I really liked the piña colada and colaypola. But the mattress was unbelievably hard, and the service wasn't very good. Breakfast doesn't start until 7:30 or 7:40, too late if you're heading out on a day tour. The food wasn't prepared well, aside from maybe breakfast. Worst of all, they kept a blue and yellow macaw with its wings clipped.

A fresh, beachfront hotel that was spotlessly clean, with a small pool set away from the beach hawkers and staff who were friendly and helpful. It's a local place and good value. There's no Wi-Fi in the rooms or fridge, though. They only speak Spanish, but we managed with Google Translate.
